APPEAL TO EVERYBODY for the Butterlamp Offering Ceremony
This year we organize the Butterlamps Offering Ceremony Retreat for the eighth time. We deeply care to offer 111 111 butterlamps as we did when Rinpoche was present with us. Because of many reasons during last two butterlamps offerings we were able to offer only the part of this amount. The number of people participated in this practice was too low. It was the main reason. It is worth adding that in spite of similar problems it is possible to offer 111 111 butterlamps every year in Siliguri.
I am sure you remember that for our teacher, Chimed Rigdzin Rinpoche, the practice of butterlamps offering was especially important and he deeply cared to have it every year in Darnkow. We should also remember that it is really a special practice, recognized by H.H. Duddjom Rinpoche, as the gter treasure of our Teacher`s mind.
Rinpoche said many times that the butterlamps offering practice influence is immeasurable. Prevention and shortening of wars is only side effect of it. Especially today, in time of a big turmoil in the world it is necessary to do this practice. In this way we can contribute to world peace and stabilization.
Some of you maybe think that the butterlamps offering practice, especially cleaning the lamps, is suitable for ?the beginners?. It is not true because this practice transforms the consciousness on different levels and practicing it gives big merit and cleans away the karma. Gathering of merit and cleaning of the karma are the basic and essential conditions to reach enlightenment.
This year we would like to conduct the Butterlamps Offering Ceremony in the same way as we did when Rinpoche was alive. During three weeks we will light 3000 butterlamps twice a day, in the morning and afternoon. In the morning we will have Big Rigdzin puja and Butterlamp Offering prayer in afternoon. In this way we will have more time to clean butterlamps and we will be able to truly focus on this practice.
To gather as many participants as possible we reduced daily fees to 10 PLN per day. This payment covers only the cost of stay in Darnkow. But we still have to buy oil (to fill 111 111 butterlamps we need 3 400 liters of oil), wicks and air ticket for Migme Lama. With that in mind we kindly ask all of you for sponsoring the butterlamps.
In this way you could participate in this ceremony although you can not come to Poland.
ONE BUTTERLAMP is 0.20 PLN, 100 BUTERLAMPS makes 20 PLN.

You can stay in dormitory (limited number of places, please apply) or in private tents and camping site.

NOTICE:
Nights in the mountains are cold even in summer. Weather in Darnkow changes rapidly. It is good to take wellingtons and a raincoat. Please, think over the idea of taking pets, especially dogs.
There is no regular transport to Darnkow. You have to take a bus to Jeleniow or Kudowa Zdroj and then on foot, by taxi to Darnkow (it depends on your finances and strength)
Please, bring your sleeping bags, cups, dishes and cutlery.
