Darnkow at May 2001

... and it started with a rainbow.

When the first works for building the Gompa started last year in Darkow a wonderful rainbow appeared in the sky. The normal work of research of the building ground changed in a mystical situation.

At the 20th of January then it happened. The first dig in the ground was done an the lovely maddow on the hills of the wonderful "Table Mountains" in the south west of Poland was changed in a building site. But imediately the winter came back and covered everything with a thick blanket of snow. The beginning was done but the work needed to wait till the sun brought back the spring.

With great effort and enthusiasm the fundament was build in a short time and it is finished now, as a strong ground on which a large meditation hall (gompa) can be build.

In this way all the money of about 80.000 Zloty was quick used up. But the goal was clear: to build as much as possible till Rinpoche is coming for the anual butterlamp retreat at the polish monastery. Best would be if the ground floor could be finished, but this goal is very high. For the finishing of the ground floor are about 120.000 Zloty needed. But the treasure box is empty.

The German Khordong Association has decided now to send about 5.000 DEM to Poland but more donations are necessary and very welcome.

Money can be send directly to the bank account of the Polish Khordong Association. Unfortunately are tax reduction with such international orders not possible.
