The Khordong Buddhist Association in Poland
invites you for the summer retreat
in Drophan Ling Monastery in Darnkow.
The event will take place
between 26 July and 28 August 2002.

Programme:

26 July - 14 August: The 6th ceremony of butter lamp offering

14 August - 24 August: Jomo Gudrun - dzogchen teaching, Nudan Dorje text
"The Direct Indication of Buddahood Beyond Classification"
14 August - 24 August: John Higginson - Tai-chi course

22 August - 26 August: James Low - teachings for practices of Butterlamp
Offering and Dorje Sempa

Daily fees:
- Short stays of less than 2 weeks: participation fee 45 PLN, food (3 meals a day) 16 PLN
- 2-week and longer stays: participation fee 42 PLN, food 16 PLN
- Total fee for a whole retreat: 1300 PLN + food
- Daily fees for children up to 15 years old: participation fee 6 PLN, food 8 PLN
- For pensioners and disabled a per-day fee is 35 PLN + food

If you pay in advance, no later than two weeks before the beginning of the retreat (i.e. 26 July), you will be granted a discount of 6 PLN per day. The above relates to the advance amounts paid.

Participation fee for accompanying person (i.e. those living within the Monastery but not attending teachings) is 15 PLN per day.

Participation fee for those living outside of the Monastery is 33 PLN per day.

For the organization purposes, please notify us about your arrival no later than two weeks before your arrival date.

Accommodation: In dormitory (very limited number of places, please apply asap) or in your own tent on the camping lot within the Monastery.

Food: Vegetarian or with meat meals will be provided.

Others:
- nights in the mountains can be very cold, even during the summertime.
- as our experience shows, the weather here can be very fussy. Please bring waterproof boots and jackets as well as warm clothes. Please think carefully before you bring any pets with you - this applies to dogs especially.
- it is not possible to get to the Monastery by public transport. You can get to Jeleniów or Kudowa Zdrój by bus, or to Kudowa Zdrój by train, then by foot, hitch-hiking or taxi (depends on your funds).

NOTE: Please bring with you: sleeping bag, mug, plates, and cutlery
