Dear Friends in Dharma,
Now in Darnków slowly spring starts. So, like every Year when days are warmer we start works in gompa building. As you remember, before winter we put windows in whole gompa building. Now we start with wooden floor in the main gompa, we want to finish the floor before the first retreat in May.
Thanks to our sponsors we have money for this. But also we would like to finish works inside toilet - shower complex, we need to put glaze on the walls in shower cabins and around wash basins where is direct contact with water, and of course on the floor. It is necessary to protect walls against water. To make this we need 10.000 zloty. (it is 100 sq. m of floor and 130 sq. m of walls). It will be the last step to have whole complex ready (in the autumn we made the final roof cover, windows were done, the first outside plaster was done, now we are making ceiling and when will be warm enough we will make final outside plasters).
Second necessary thing to finish is a roof cover on the gompa building. What we have now is only provisional cover made from tar. To keep gompa good protect from water, we need to make final roof cover. It will cost about 40.000 zloty, and we should make it this Year. If we wont have enough money to do this, we will have to repair the tar we have now. It is possible to keep it one year more, but it will cost about few thousands zloty to repair it and it wont be ideal, because we need to make also gutters and this is not possible without making the final roof cover.
