On behalf of Management Board of Khordong Association in Poland I would
like to express gratitude to everybody who helped in arrival of Rabden to
Poland. Thanks to your donations you let Antos learn Tibetan language.
Below I attach a letter from Antos' parents.
(We already collected money for Rabden`s operation.)
I would like to ask you for financial support of this project also in 2008.
Rabden will stay in Poland till the half of February 2008. In February his
visa expires, then he goes to Sikkim for one month and will be back to
Poland at the beginning of April. We will try to apply for a visa valid for
few years for him or for permission for long stay. Before it was not
possible, but now regulations have changed and we can do that. Please, cross
fingers for it!
I would like to ask you for donations for Rabden's air ticket and financing
of his visa (I don`t know yet how much will cost the long stay visa, but
when I will find out it, I will inform you) and stay in 2008.

"Beloved friends,
We give Rabden necessary board everyday. Besides the part of sangha members
give money for his monthly salary we decided to share some information about
his stay with you.
As everybody of you know Rabden came to Poland in April 2007. From the very
beginning of his stay he started to do practices with Antoni. They started
to recite mantras and after three months Antoni was able to read all Tibetan
alphabet.
They have lessons every day and Antoni learns writing and reading faster and
faster. Once a week they sing Small Rigdzin and Antoni reads the text
himself. From the beginning Rabden and Antoni contact perfectly. In last six
months they got closed to each other. Rabden has been respected by Antos
therefore as a teacher he has a strong, positive influence on him. Rabden
treats his task very diligently, carefully. He puts all his heart to it. He
tries to teach in the best way. He consulted with Tulku Ugen and Dodrubchen
Rinpoche.
Recently, we noticed that Rabden has a small growth on his eye. The eye
doctor told us it was so-called pterygium - a benign growth of conjunctiva -
a problem quite popular among Orientals. The pterygium becomes bigger and
damages the eye structure. If it is not removes it can cause lost of sight.
Soon after New Year a surgical removal must be done. It is not anything
serious operation but quite expensive - 600 PLN. Probably in future this
growth will come back.
